Marc Udink has been working in the legal profession since the mid-1980s. First in Rotterdam, then in The Hague. He is the co-founder of UdinkSchepel Advocaten, Corporate and Banking  Lawyers.

Marc is an active member of a political party in the Netherlands (CDA) that for the last century has provided many members of governing cabinet coalitions. Marc Udink worked in the US, Indonesia and the Caribbean.

His practice has developed into national and international advisory in the field of banking law, financing and restructuring. Marc frequently acts as administrator and receiver in moratoriums and bankruptcies. Marc is a member of a considerable number of boards, supervisory boards and supervisory boards of public and private institutions. Both as a supervisory director and as a lawyer, Marc has developed into a much sought-after board room advisor, where his knowledge of and experience in the national and international public and private domain are widely considered masterful in their craft.

Marc was the Secretary General (CEO) of INSOL-Europe from 2003 to 2013 and is now the Honorary Chairman of this international organization. INSOL Europe is the European organization dealing with insolvencies in the public and private sphere and also acts as advisor for semi-government institutions, the EU and also advises parliament and departments on fraud prevention. Marc often acts as a speaker at workshops, seminars and conferences.

Marc Udink is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Porcelyne Fles NV – the oldest listed company in the Netherlands. Marc is also the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Archeologisch Diensten Centrum NV and, at the request of the Minister of Culture, was a member of the board and chair of the audit committee of the National Nature Museum “Naturalis”.

Marc is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), Institute for Board, Global Insolvency American Bankruptcy Institute, INSOLAD, VNO-NCW, NCD and Fellow of the Foundation of the American Bar. Marc has been a member of the board of the international Lawyers Network (NYC) for more than 15 years (ILN with over 6000 lawyers).
