Eline joined the Hague Institute in January 2016 as an intern. Originally from the Netherlands, she holds a BA in International Relations and an MA in International Security from the University of Groningen. For her MA she authored an interdisciplinary thesis on the Comprehensive Approach to peace operations within the United Nations system.
Prior to joining the Institute, she completed an internship with the Department of Multilateral Institutions and Human Rights at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is also involved with a non-profit organization that promotes cultural exchange.
Besides her native Dutch, Eline is fluent in English and has a professional knowledge of Spanish.
