Sukhdev Zomer joined the The Hague Institute as Human Resources (HR) Officer in March 2014. Prior to joining the Institute, Zomer worked as Project HR Officer for a publicly listed Italian oil and gas industry contractor. Zomer was responsible for expanding and consolidating the local HR and logistic support structure for vessel maintenance and upgrading projects in Rotterdam or abroad.
He promoted and ensured compliancy with local labor and tax regulation, and setup onsite support during construction projects and crew mobilizations. At the Institute, Zomer is responsible for the alignment of human resources procedures and activities.
Zomer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, the Netherlands. He graduated in 2010, specializing in Organizational Change and Development. Upon graduation, Zomer worked as an intern for an HR consultancy firm where he studied the profiling and testing of candidates through assessment centers.
