Xiaodon Liang

Xiaodon Liang is a master’s degree student at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, focusing on international security studies and particularly arms control and nonproliferation issues. His current research interests include implementation of and compliance with the Arms Trade Treaty, strategic trade controls and their domestic enforcement, and trends in defence trade cooperation and technology transfer policies.

He previously interned with the Arms Control Association in Washington, D.C., contributing to the monthly publication Arms Control Today, and was a student associate with the Managing the Atom Project hosted by the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Prior to beginning his master’s studies, Xiaodon was employed as a researcher at a finance data firm in New York City, investigating corporate ownership and geographical structure. He received a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2010. Xiaodon is a native of the United States but also spent seven years living in southern China.
