Turkey Poses Impossible Dilemma for the EU

Manuella Appiah spoke to OneWorld about the agreement between the European Union and Turkey aimed at resolving the refugee crisis. In the article, she highlighted the complexity of the cooperation agreement with Turkey.

“The EU aims to protect its external borders at all cost, but if European values are not central to the negotiations with Turkey, we run the risk of contributing indirectly to human rights violations in Turkey.”
