Protecting Education During Conflict

The Doha Centre for Media Freedom has published an article about the International Conference on Human Rights Based Approach to Conflict Situations in the Arab Region. Focusing on the working group in which Dr. Jill Coster van Voorhout of The Hague Institute participated, the article summarizes the main points made by the panel of experts on law and education that day.

“Van Voorhout offered a number of recommendations, arguing that the problem requires an interdisciplinary, comprehensive approach which focuses on the legal gaps – but mostly implementation – through close local, regional and international partnerships.”
