What’s Next for Ukraine-Russia Relations?

Dr. Aaron Matta in Deutsche Welle commented on a recent draft resolution passed by the Verkhovna Rada committee on foreign affairs to sever diplomatic relations with Russia.

“The passage of this resolution to suspend diplomatic relations with Russia by the Rada is unfortunate. It is always better to have diplomatic communication channels open. However this is not unprecedented, Georgia suspended diplomatic relations with Russia after the conflict in 2008.”
