Launch of Conference Proceedings “Water Security and Peace”
On 14-15 November 2013, the Water Diplomacy Consortium (WDC), in which The Hague Institute is a leading partner, organized the international conference, Water Security and Peace. Proceedings from that conference will be launched in the Peace Palace on 3 July.
Dr. Patrick Huntjens, Head of Water Diplomacy at The Hague Institute, will submit first copies of the proceedings to Prof. András Szöllösi-Nagy, Rector of the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water and Education and Marius Enthoven, Chairman of UPEACE Centre The Hague, as well as representatives of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Netherlands Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment.
During the launch, Prof. Szöllösi-Nagy will give a lecture on “Water: A Source of Conflict or a Potential Peace Builder?”
