Countering Terrorism in a Data-Driven Age

The Hague Institute for Global Justice will host a public event to discuss the contemporary challenges for countering terrorism, that will be organized by the Institute for Economics and Peace. It will be held on Monday, 20 November, in The Hague.

Mr. Dick Schoof, National Coordinator for Security and Counter Terrorism in the Netherlands, will deliver the keynote speech. Research Director at IEP, Mr. Daniel Hyslop, will present and discuss the findings of the 2017 Global Terrorism Index. The event will focus specifically on counter-terrorism efforts in the Netherlands and Europe.

The introductions will be made by The Hague Institute CEO Steven van Hoogstraten. After the keynote address and presentation of the GTI, there will be a Q&A with Mr. Schoof and Mr. Hyslop, moderated by Talia Hagerty, Research Fellow at IEP. There will be a short reception afterwards, with coffee and tea.
